'Obsessive Cycle' is a set of 4 canvases that are mounted on top of a sheet of paper that is stuck to the wall to bring all these things together. This is a set of painted abstractions depicting a minimalistic version of popular social media app logos. The shapes and colours represent the dock that is found on the bottom of a home screen.

Balance The Connection

Acrylic paint on paper, collage

Work for online group exhibition and publication Post

2 - 16.5 x 11.75 in

May 2021

‘Balance The Connection’ is a set of collages that represents a web browser, featuring symbols and imagery seen across social media. I have worked with two opposing colour schemes to represent the Internet. The first collage includes a bright and cheerful set of colours to represent the lighter 'good' parts. The second collage features monochromatic grey colours to share the darker 'bad' parts. This aims to challenge and compare both sides to reflect on different experiences and viewpoints of the Internet and social media.

Work and installation for online group exhibition Female Spaces

16 x 12 in

February 2021

‘Overwhelming Connection' reflects on feelings that we have when viewing online platforms. I explored the online content that I view from home for an exhibition focusing on the safe spaces of artists who identify as female. I have used layers of repeated shapes and symbols within the painting to represent the online content that floods my feed daily and often causes overwhelming feelings.
